This collection documents the life and career of Christopher "Chris" Ogden, particularly during his tenure as a journalist and photojournalist at Time magazine and the publication of his major biographical works. It includes personal papers and memorabilia such as curricula vitae, press clippings, correspondence, notebooks, calendars, and press passes. The collection also contains files such as interviews, correspondence, and reviews related to Ogden’s biographies Maggie: An Intimate Portrait of a Woman in Power (1990), Life of the Party: The Biography of Pamela Digby Churchill Hayward Harriman (1994), and Legacy: A Biography of Moses and Walter Annenberg (1999). Additional materials related to his journalism career include articles, lectures, photographs, and portfolios, including prints of his portrait of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (1974). Also present are computer files, including scanned or digitized photographs and portfolios as well as digitized personal papers and materials related to publications.
