Original motion picture films, as well as preservation masters and duplicating masters, may not be played. Researchers needing to view the original materials should consult the reference archivist for policies governing reproduction for access. There are no restrictions on use by researchers of DVDs in the collection.

Copyright was transferred to Yale University for unpublished materials authored or otherwise produced by Albert Ely Heman, Jr., Constance Jennings Ely, and Day Ely Ravenscroft (whether such works are at Yale or physically located elsewhere in the world) in 2011.
